Nice staff! Short way to shopping.
Trouble with the wifi...keycard was always a problem! For being a 4 star hotel it was not living up to our expectations. The rooms was cold, and drafty....Sorry, but we will not recomend this hotel to any one.
Beautiful Hotel, well positioned for all amenities, lovely promenade for long walks.
Location was great.
Design of the hotel was very nice + good entertainment.
The staff, particulary imi, he was smart, professional, clean, spoke good English and it was a pleasure to be served in the bar by him. The room was lovely as was the bar area.
No tea or coffee in the room and as its 4 star I think this is required. Food was awful, chef had a cold and constatly wiped his nose, then handled food without washing his hands. Everything was cold, even chips. Paella was the worse I have ever had in Spain and I live here most of the year and its my favourite dish. The English singer, with the union jack outfit was atrocious, couldnt sing, as your hotel is a classy establishment, he needs to go. Stick to the Spanish singer and the one who plays the violin was excellent.
Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Good position for beach, shops, nightlife and the market (Wed and Sunday). Seemed to have good quality entertainment. Contrary to some other reviews we found the food excellent and varied. Good selection for salads, main course, dessert also breakfast. And we had no problem with lifts as some other reviewers said even though the hotel was quite busy (Spanish holiday).
Expensive for what it offers compared to good 3 star hotels. Esp. If your room is at the back where there is no sun! And the pool area is in shade. (Not sure about summer). Only one very inferior wine available, and drink prices costly. Small balcony although enough for two. We had asked for a front room, but got one at the back! Not a problem to have it changed but we had arrived early.
bright new furburbished hotel .
The Food is awful the plates were filty. the manager in the dinning room seamed to think that we had not payed for our meals. Will not be back. when we arrived were ask to sign a declaration that we would not steal the tv , the bedding and the towtels. ? lifts to small for the clients that were in hotel also the place looked as if it needed a good clean.
The hotel has only recently opened therefore the standard of everything is very high, especially cleanliness etc which is fabulous. The staff are fantastic nothing is a bother to them.
Thought everything was great about the hotel.....just didn't like Benidorm. Went with my mum who used to love it, however even she says its gone down hill.....always was a bit "tacky" but even more so now. The whole town could do with a clean up.
Most of it
My be a bit sound proof on floor could hear clipping of shoes at early mornings
On arrival, great check in with chap called Alex, efficent and welcoming, on to the room, double room for two women we come into benidorm to get our hair cut in Hepburns (indoor market) we book a different hotel to test areas and have night out, usually around rincon area as easy to get around bars, this hotel was within easy walking distance if you want to be near lively bars and clubs, good idea if you are on a hen night then if any of the girls can't stay the pace of the night they can easily get back to this hotel as its not a nice idea a solo femail getting into taxi alone (especially with a drink on them). Lifts don't hold many but wasn't problem to us but could be in the busy summer months I will know more on summer visits.Rooms size are okay, and lights nice and modern, there is no decor on walls which I loved I hate all those old dingy/gaudy pictures some hotels put up which I'm sure is so you wont pinch them (as if we are desperate, Bedding was sheets and pillowcases matched lovely quality, blankets in room, I live permanently in Spain and at this time of year it can be cool, in evenings, television had itv, in English, mini bar in room, we had nice sea view which we hadn't requested, I dont smoke but did notice ashtrays on balcolny which is good for those who do smoke outside. Bathrooms was spotless clean, good bright lights to put make up on, nothing worse than putting it on in dark going out and looking like a clown, or the men dripping in blood from razor cuts. Towels soft and clean. Dining room okay I was worried it would be so small from past reviews but think the management have done something about it. Lets face it you go in eat and leave, if you want to wine and dine you would go to a restaurant, I imagine in the busy times they will have two meal sittings to free up seating areas. As for food see what I didn't like section!
Now for the bad bits, I was really nervous booking this hotel due to the bad reviews, every 6 weeks I passed to the indoor market for usual haircut, and saw this hotel being rebuilt, and wondered what it would be like, well the food is really dreadful, I really can't find words to describe it,every meal was bad, it wasn't Spanish or English they really need a review on the kitchen, and I do think this will happen, as the manager did ask our opinon on leaving the hotel, waiter and waitress perfect all plates moved rapidly. The dining room could do with some wall decor, and the american elevator music nearly sends you into a trance. Our room fridge was spotless but had a strange tub of tomato chutney in it, obviously this was from previous guest who also hated the food and had a take a way indian curry, should of been checked by maid. The English singer in the leprachaun suit could do with calming it down a bit as hes not a bad entertainer, you dont have to pay for the man to sing, if you dont like him go to Las Vegas for a top of the bill.I Do agree if your wanting a classy establishment this could do with dropping but I expect it's a marketing ploy you walk past and can't fail to notice the joint. Thats my only grip, some people to expect to pay little money and want the Ritz Carlton!
Our room had no heating and we where freezing. Believe it or not we where offered blankets. Not condusive of a 4 star hotel No sorries from the staff and no offers from them for the inconvenience caused to us.As you might imagine we will not return
Mini-bar / fridge was empty. Telephone not working. No information pack in room to advise re- meals / facilities available etc.. Insufficient bedding (blankets and pillows).
Our room had no blankets only a shhet and cover. There were no instructions as to use of air con / heating. You had to switch to cool to heat the room???? When we contacted reception we were treated as idiots and told there were blankets in wardrobe -- there wasn't. Breakfast was a joke. we had to wander around hoping someone would finish their table so we could have a table. The restaurant is far too small for the size of the hotel.People even took food into the foyer and ate at tables there.
All of it, this hotel is probably one of the best in Benidorm at the moment.
Could not find anything wrong with this Hotel.
Clean,friendly and helpfull staff,comfortable,well priced bar,location.
My only gripe, was the reception upon arrival. It was a sunday and the desk was only maned by one person. We were part of a group of 20+ and had to wait ages to check in.This is no reflection on the person behind the desk as she was very efficiant, only there should have been two people to ease the workload and of course the time spent waiting.
I booked a room with a sea view and was provided a room with a view only of other apartment buildings. I complained to the front desk and was told by the representative that because my room faced the direction of the sea, it was considered a sea view. I responded that this is not right and asked the rep to raise my complaint to the manager. There was no follow up. At check out i raised the issue again and was given a refund for the difference, but the difference was based on the post-new years room rate, which was cheaper, because the rep apparently could not access the different rates for the nights of my stay. The cleanliness of the room was ok. Although, there were a number of hairs in the bathtub. The cleaners also got into loud conversations in the hallway at 9:30am, which lasted for some time. They should concentrate more on cleaning than socializing. For a city full of hotels, i guess i was expecting better...
